Elizabeth Willis DeHuff theorizes in her book "The Bush Family as
descended from John and Mary Bryan Bush of North Carolina" that this
William was actually the William Bush who married Mourning Sheffield and
died in Montgomery County, Georgia in 1808. She seems to make him up out
of thin air assuming that he exists even though he was not included on
the family tree composed by Isaac's son (ie, William's brother) in 1797.
This seems unlikely to me, but there is reason to doubt that William,
husband of Mourning is actually the son of Hardy. Other evidence exists
supporting William, husband of Penelope Lane who died c1798. Controversy
not yet resolved.
