Looking for information on the Mayrant Family, arrived in South Carolina about 1680. Did Nicholas Mayrant (1660-1724) come to South Carolina directly from France? What was his wife's name? John Mayrant, Jr. (1762-1783), left South Carolina to live with his son, John III in Tennessee, after wife Isabell Norvell (1763-1833) died in Statesburg, South Carolina. Where are John and Isabell buried? Dr. James Norvell Mayrant (1790-1858) and wife Mary Elizabeth Potts (1800-1848) moved from South Carolina to Winston County, Mississippi.
