Because the SHIER family came from Court Matrix in Limerick, it is possible that she, too, came from that county. Further, the SHIERs were Palatinates in IRELAND who strongly held on to their German language and ways. For that reason, I suspect that Anne was also of Palatinate stock. The registery of Ann's death states she was b. Ireland and was of the Methodist faith. The informant was James McEermott, M.D., her doctor. She died of "Appoplexy."
