My Ggg g'ma, Emeline DEMORES / DEMMORES (surname variations found in the death records of 
her children) was b. 1827 PA. According to her entry in the 1900 Chippewa Co., MI census, 
her father was b. in MA. I'm guessing he was born 1780-1805. Her mother was Canadian.

The closest surname I can find in MA is for Edward DEMMORE who was in Buckland in 1790 
Franklin Co., MA according to a census cdrom. Edward would probably be of the age to be 
Emeline's grandfather.
