My ggg g'pa, Thomas Joseph MINTZ, served in Company I, 34th North Carolina Infantry CSA. A wound suffered in the war caused his early death a decade after the war. About 1858, he m. Annie STEADMAN (1840-1934), d/o Elias J. STEADMAN (1815-aft.1870) & Mary THORNE (1816-ca1863). He's the grandson of William MINTZ, Sr. & Susannah. The name of Thomas' father (Bef. 1755-bet. 1820-1830) is unknown, but his mother is Susannah ___(1769-bet. 1850-1860). Thomas' daughter is also pictured at this site.
