Researching Augustus David Butterfield's ancestor's and descendant's. He was born in New York on April 1, 1802 and died in Illinois September 15, 1887. He was married three times, the first to Susan Edgar, the second to Lucy Otis and the third to Sally Ann Rood. He had nine children. The first child was David Butterfield whose mother was Susan Edgar. The other eight children's mother was Sally Ann Rood. Their names are Phiranda A. Butterfield, born October 19, 1840 in LaSalle County, Illinois.
Julia C. Butterfield, born August 2, 1843 in LaSalle County, Illinois.
Orville Murray Butterfield, born May 22, 1846 in LaSalle County, Illinois.
Leavitt Merton Butterfield, born June 23, 1849 in LaSalle County, Illinois.
George F. Butterfield, born September 19, 1852 in LaSalle County, Illinois.
Charles W. Butterfield, born November 16, 1854 in LaSalle County, Illinois.
Susan A. Butterfield, born September 28, 1856 in LaSalle County, Illinois.
Walter A. Butterfield, born May 31, 1858 in LaSalle County, Illinois.

Augustus David Butterfield's father was Levi Butterfield.
