Fotina (Makos)Butler's Home Page

I have just started researching my family tree. My grandfather, George Makas came to America just after the turn of the century from Greece, and that is about as much information as I have on him. His wife, Bessie Mae Durham was from Virginia, I think. My grandfather, Davidson Essick was born in North Carolina, as well as his wife, Susan Hattie Mae Phelps. Both the Makos and Essick branches lived in North Carolina in the area around Winston-Salem. Most information I have so far has been from from my parents. I hope to update as I gather more information or get corrected information.
Any information or corrections on information I already have would be appericiated.
