Horace Lafayette Butler Family of Fairfax, VA

This web page documents my family tree on the Butlerside. In essence, the Butlers originated from Hertford County, North Carolina, and have a history with the Meherrin Indian Tribe.

James B. Butler, Sr. was married to Martha Matilda Flood in the late 1800s. As far as I know, James B. Butler, Sr. had a Meherrin Indian father with a last name of Overton, and a Cherokee Indian mother with a last name of Butler.

Martha Matilda Flood's father was Josiah Flood (b. 1816), and her mother was Abscilla Archer (b. 1814).

Any information would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have.
