The Edmund Butler Family Home Page

I and my cousin Pam Burleson are researching the desendants of one Edmund Butler who married Francis Cooke and resided in Goochland County Va. in the early 1700's. He died in 1747.His children were Aaron, John, Edmund, Nancy, and William. We have many of his desendants up to the present day but have been unable to trace him further back. We have several possibilities but are looking for something definite. Aaron's branch moved to Culpepper Va, then on to Montgomery Co, Kentucky and then to Randolph Co. Missouri. Edmund's branch moved to Hancock Co. Ga. and William's branch moved to Orange Co, Rowan Co, and Iredell in N.C. before moving on to Edgefield Co, S.C. He was one of the North Carolina Regulators. We need modern day information on any of these branches and we're hoping someone will have information as to the history prior to 1747 in Va. We would love to hear from anyone who thinks they have a connection to this family. Thanks
