Updated September 21, 2000

Cuthberts' are from Scotland where Peter and Elspeth Cuthbert had Peter and he came to Canada with his wife Elizabeth Smith and their many children. Two of his children were Robert and John Cuthbert. They came to this country on a boat called the 'Hercules" in 1836.
Daytons' started with A. Dayton and Sarah Hall. It looked as though A. stood for Ace. It may have been a nick-name.They had Charles Fremont Dayton.
Mitchells' were Margaret and Jennie who were from Arkansas who moved to Manitoba.Their parents were from England. We do not know their names. Margaret had a very interesting life for someone who died at 29 years old. Margaret's sister married Tom Muir (Muire). That is all we know.
Harvey's were from Kansas. Their daughter was Dora Bell Harvey. She may have had a sister named Etta, and a brother William (Billy). There may have been a Bertha and Mary as well.
Halls' are Sarah Hall. She was married to Charles Fremont Dayton. Sarah may have been from New York.
Mulvins'are connected to the Chambers family and it goes back quite far. I found the tree on Vol 4, pre-1600 to present in the World Family Tree CD. It was wonderful to finally find something.
Figueiras' are Portugese. We have them coming from Lisbon Portugal. The first Figueira was born in 1844. His son, John James Figueira married Clodyna DaSilva. Their children are Georgiana, Joseph Aloysius, Emily Clarice, John B, and Ernest. Joseph Aloysius is my Grandfather.
