53. ELIZABETH5 SIMS (THOMAS4, THOMAS3, THOMAS2, WILLIAM1) was born August 31, 1792 in Virginia, and died December 10, 1872. She married JAMES S. GARRETT August 18, 1810.

Notes for ELIZABETH SIMS:
When members of the family migrated to Missouri, two of the boys William & Boudin returned to North
Carolina. William lived & died near Ridgeway, Virginia & Boudin near Madison, Virginia?

55. GARLAND5 SIMS (CALEB4, THOMAS3, THOMAS2, WILLIAM1) was born February 15, 1796 in Virginia, and died May 21, 1881 in Kentucky. He married (1) ELIZABETH HORN HALE in Mercer County, Kentucky. He married (2) NANCY MANN July 19, 1819 in Mercer County, Kentucky by Rev. Jacob Covart.

Information came from tombstone records & Court records; Lawson's five children were under
guardianship of Lawson's brother, Garland Sims for making partition of decdent's land. Terry White has
two receipts; "Rec'd of G. Sims guardian for Joseph, Susan, Daniel, Garland & Margaret Sims infant heirs
of Lawson Sims Dec. for making a division of and partition of of the dec. land. This 13th day of April 1857.
