My mother, Suzzanne, got me interested in our family history. She talked about an ancester of ours being involved in the Boston Tea Party, Timothy Guy. I have found that Timothy Guy was originally from Bristol England, lived in Dover, MA and he married Martha Plimpton. From the History of Dover, MA, pages 82 and 87, "Residents of Dover, Mass, attended that great meeting of seven thousand persons which was held in Faneuil Hall, Boston, Dec. 16, 1773, and adjourned to the Old South Meetinghouse for more room. At the close of the memorable meeting Timothy Guy was one of those who gave the war whoop and then proceeded to Griffin's Wharf where they took possession of the three ships and emptied their entire cargo into the sea." He also took part in the French & English war in the contest at Crown Point, N.Y. in 1775, under the command of Capt. William Bacon.
This was only the beginning, I now have over 42,000 individuals in my family tree. Included are the surnames of Shaw, Perkins, Fisher, Perry, Morse, Adams (Presidents,John Adams & John Quincy Adams are distant cousins),Fisk, Ellis, Wight and many many more.
