| I am looking for members of the Butler family of Northern Arizona. I am a Navajo Indian, born and raised in and around Tuba City, Arizona. My elders tell me the Butler name was introduced into our family by Mormons traveling through Northern Arizona. Supposedly, a male of the Mormon faith settled in or around Moenave. He eventually married into a Navajo family. This is the point where the Butler name enters into the Navajo Tribe. I am also looking for members of the family of Gus Bighorse. My elders say he is from the Grants, New Mexico area. His parents were killed while he was away from the home. Bighorse is my great grandfather (my grandmother's father). I wish to locate decendants of Bighorse's parents and grandparents. |
