| I am researching the Butler Family from Tyler, Smith County, Texas. Peter Butler first appears in the 1870 Census, but I don't know when he came to Texas from North Carolina. His wife, Frances (last name unknown) appears in the 1870 Census also. She was born in Alabama. They had seven daughters: Eliza Ann, Tinsey, Esther, Dorcus, Lila, Florence, Lucy and three sons: Calhoun, Daniel, Menser. In addition, I'm researching the Lloyd Dorsey family of Tyler, Texas, He was born in Alabama around 1841. He married Mary (last name unknown). She was born in Virginia, and they had five sons: Larkin, Thomas, Frank, Lelin, Lloyd Jr, plus four daughters: Ellen, Ella, Shelly, Emma. Third, I'm also searching for the parents of Mariah Smith, my paternal grandmother (b Texas, May 1862); Polly Terry, my maternal grandmother (b Texas, Apr 1872). Polly's mother is Jane Adeline (b, North Carolina). Any info would be appreciated. I am also willing to share the information that I have. |
