The research for the Buttchen Family has been interesting and frustrating at the same time. We can trace back to mid 1800's to the marriage of Peter Buttchen and Cornelia Marking, however information on their eldest daughter, Amelia Buttchen (1860-aft,1941), has been hard to come by. We have been told that the Buttchen Family history is somewhat illusive and secretive. We continue to persue every lead and will eventually have a complete history. The main focus at this time is any information on Amelia Buttchen Young, who may have been the mother of our grandfather Herman Buttchen (1878-1972). |
