| I am researching many family lines, especially Butler, Talbot, McCaa, Gates, McCutchen, Waters, Noble, Ward, Boykin, Cheatham, Elam, and Greer. I am descended from Thomas Butler (married to Eleanor Parker), born 1720 in Coolkenna, Co. Wicklow, Ireland. He immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1748 and was father to five sons, the famous "Fighting Butlers" who were all officers in the American Revolutionary Army. I have traced the Talbot line back to the British royal family (Plantagenet line) and beyond. This has generated many interesting facts and quite a few headaches with my software. I would appreciate trading information with other researchers on any of these family lines. |
