Both of my maternal grandparents were SMITHS' from the Cowling, Glusburn area of West Yorkshire, UK. Immigrating to Canada in 1913. I have traced their separate lines back to the early 1700's giving me many new lines to search out, they are; ATKINSON, HARRISON, HAWORTH, HEATON, HIRD, HODGSON, RUSHTON, ICKERINGILL/GILL, LONGBOTTOM, ROBINSON, SCARBOROUGH, SHACKLETON, SHAW, SHUTTLEWORTH, STRICKLAND.
I also am searching out my paternal side, Grandfather Arthur John Woodward came to Canada 1884 as a Barnardo boy was born 1872, Limehouse, Middlesex, UK. His parents were John WOODWARD who died 1875 at 33 years and Isabella WOODWARD late APLIN, formerly ROHLEDER who was born 1839 Whitechapel, to George ROHLEDER and Jane WILSON. There was also a Alice Rohleder born 1858 to Isabella, her married name was ALLEN/ALLAN. I have not been able to locate a marriage for Isabella Aplin & John Woodward, it is not shown in the marriage index. Would welcome any ideas.

My paternal grandmother was Mary Jane FLEMING born 1877 Dublin Ireland, to John FLEMING and Catherine CUNNINGHAM. They and another daughter immigrated to Canada 1880, settled in Guelph, Ontario and had 7 more children. Catherine and daughter Theresa left the family home & Canada between 1910/1920 moving to Detroit(?), Michigan. Theresa's married name may have been SMALL. They both died in Michigan, Catherine abt. 1936. I do not know where to go from here with these family members.

I am more then willing to share my research with anyone who may be interesed in any of the above surnames.
