- Mary Boone - Buzzella Honored (210 KB)
In 2004, Mary Boone-Buzzella was honored as the oldest living, direct descendent of Bolling G. Boone, a Civil War hero who was killed in action during the Olustee Battle of February 20, 1865. The Olustee Festival is held in February each year in Lake City, Florida. Bolling was Mary Boone-Buzzella's great-grandfather. Pictured from L to R are:

Rita Buzzella dances with her father, Tony during the Olustee Festival at Tucker's Restaurant. They are pictured in full Civil War regalia. They co-hosted the non-stop entertainment in Olustee Park all day Friday and Saturday during the festival. Rick and Dianna Buzzella can be seen in the background.

This is a restored photograph originally taken around 1905. It was probably taken around the time my great aunt Maria Buzzelli married Salvatore Gasbarro. Luigi Salvatore Buzzelli was married to Maria Rosaria Pavone. Their children were: Achille, Antonio(my grandfather), Giuseppe and Maria.
