My father was Harry Morgan Byers, born in Chicago, IL, 2/15/1921; Believe only child; Graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1938; SSN-322-14-4772; Served in WWII & Korean War, Corps of Engineers; Died 3/26/96; last residence Angleton, TX; Grandfather was Edwin William Byers; Born in 1896-1897 in Chicago, IL; Graduated Thorton Township High School, Harvey, IL in 1914; No. 8 in class and captain of track team; Attended University of Illinois and Northwestern University; Served in WWI; Architect in New York, Illinois, Michigan, Texas; Member of American Institute of Architects and American Society of Civil Engineers; Died 7/10/1957, McAllen, TX; Edwin had one sister, Mrs. Clidie Belle Stein and nephew, William B. Stein of Mararoneck, NY; Edwin's second wife, Helen Doli Byers, born in Hungary, was Harry's stepmother.

My mother's maiden name is Florence Van Sys; second wife of Harry; born in Antwerp, Belgium, 11-22-1921(??); lives in Clute, TX; her current husband is Carlisle Segina.
