Iam researching the O'Kane family of Cushendall, Northern Ireland My grandparents - Michael John and Jane Elizabeth O'Kane lived in Cushendall until Michael died in 1929,they had 17 children and Michael was the Doctor. We have researched back to 1871 where there are records of my paternal great grandparents - James O'Kane and Hannah Magilligan marrying in the District of Limavady in 1871. Apparently the family owned several pubs in Ballymoney. If anyone has any information I would be most interested to hear from them.
