To all my Byington relatives, I apologize for delaying so long in updating my website. One of my problems is that I am not able to add a great deal of new information. Slowly I have been updating names with new family information, including, in some cases, information obtained from newspaper obituaries.

For those who have been asking for a book, send me an email and I will send you a .pdf file. The book is so large that it wouldn't properly to the website. This book has everything you ever wanted to know about any of the Byingtons that I have in my database. It's a great history lesson throughout the ages. The entire book is more than 1,000 pages -- the index of names is 81 pages of names in 2 columns.

For those who wish to update their lines, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Stacey

Synopsis:
I am currently trying to compile a complete genealogy of the Byington family. What I have found so far through my research is that ALL the Byingtons in the U.S. descend from one man, John (Boynton) Byington who changed his name after receiving a land grant from the King of England -- the land grant mis-spelled his name, and it was easier to change his name than send the grant back to England to be re-issued. John Byington was born in the year 1676, second generation born in America. John (Boynton) Byington had 10 children (Hannah, David and Jonathon-twins, Robert-died in infancy, Nathaniel, Jane, Mary, Daniel, John and Robert). I am descended from both Daniel and John Byington.

I would like to continue linking all Byingtons I can locate to their family line.

If you are interested in helping me, please contact me. I will incorporate your information into the database I have already generated (more than 2,200 Byington names, more than 12,500 total names).

I am both an 11th and 13th generation Byington, and link into the Byington family through two entirely different branches of the family. I was born in 1953. My great grandfather (Cassius Perkins Byington) published a book detailing the early Byington line up to the year 1918. There have also been other Byington genealogies published, especially in the early and middle parts of the 20th century. I would like to take up where they left off, and bring their data up through to the 21st century. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.

Please contact me, either by email or snail mail if you can provide answers to the "unknowns".

For those of you who are interested in references, I have started adding references to all new names, and I am also going back and updating the references for previous entries, as I update family lines. Please check back from time to time, I try to update new information as often as possible.

I would also like to say "Thank You!!!" to all of the Byington descendents and family members who have contributed information to make this genealogy as extensive as it is.

I will be uploading things to the website and I work through all the details.
