| I am researching the family of Alec (aka Alex) Byknish (aka Bicanik, aka Byknich), who lived in Trumbull Co, Brookfield Twp. Masury, Ohio. He was married to an Eva Wolk (aka Wilk). She had been previously married to a George Senchisn. Alec had also been previously married, to a Nancy Senchisn. The Senchisn's were brother & sister. When the Senchisn's both died, my grandparents then married each other. The Byknish family moved from the Clymer / Dixonville areas of Pennslyvania in approximately 1929. The main occupation of Alec was of a coal miner. The family consisted of a son John ( my father) and his sister Margaret Byknish. There were also many Senshisn children. Only one son, George, and daughters Annie, Catherine, Helen, Nancy, & Sue. A daughter Mary stayed in the Clymer, Pa. area. There were also two other daughters who were deceased. The immigrated from Europe, but I am not sure from where, because Eva was not open about information concerning the family. I am also researching the family of a William Molnar, married to a Mary Dvorschak. They both came to the states from Czechoslavakia in about 1921. ( My mother says the name was known as 'Miller' in Europe and was changed when they arrived d/t name pronunciation problems.) They were married in Europe about 1917. She had her first son William (Bill) in Europe, B-4 comming to the United States in 1919. After arriving and moving to Pittsburgh, Pa., they had another son, Pete in 1924. They moved again to Sharon, Pa. where a daughter Anna (my mother) was born in 1928. William Molnar came to the United States B-4 he brought his wife over. He came with his father Pete Molnar, and 2 brothers to work in the mines at Nu-mine, Pa. They all got killed in the mines except my grandfather. He then returned to Czechoslavakia to get his wife and child and return to the states. I know more about the Molnar family, because my grandmother did not die until 1991. I would appreciate any further information on both families, and I am willing to share the information I have. |
