This is the start of my Cadeau line that entered the United States in the late 1800's via Michigan.

The earliest record for my line is on page 20 of the July 20, 1870 United States Census for Negaunee, Marquette County, Michigan. On this Census they list Charles Caddo and wife Zoe living at dwelling 76. Charles was listed as 30 years old and Zoe as 24 years old.

CHARLES CADEAU/CADOT was born April 9, 1840 in St. Esprit, Montcalm County, Quebec, Canada. Charles died on October 2, 1876. Charles was the son of Charles Cadot/Cadotte and Olive Pellitier. Charles married Zoe Beaudry. Zoe was born January 12, 1846 in St. Charles, Joliette Co., Quebec, Canada. Zoe died February 26, 1900 in Osceola, Houghton County, Michigan. Zoe's parents were Olivier Beaudry and Zoe Champoux.

Children of Charles and Zoe were:

Georgiana, Charles, William, George, & Joseph.


i: Georgiana Cadeau, born October 1870 in Goose Lake, Marquette County, Michigan. Georgiana died June 17, 1931. Georgiana married Samuel Harris on May 6, 1889 in Lake Linden, Michigan. Samuel was born April 26, 1863 the son of William B. Harris and Mary Ann Slaterly.

Children of Georgiana and Samuel were:

Mabel, Samuel, William, & Joseph


ii: CHARLES RAYMOND CADEAU, born January 13, 1872 in Negaunee, Marquette County, Michigan. Charles died May 16, 1915 in Chassell, Houghton County, Michigan. Charles married Georganne Roy, on January 19, 1892 in Lake Linden, Schoolcraft Township, Houghton County, Michigan. Georganne was born November 18, 1872 in Lake Linden, Schoolcraft Township, Houghton County, Michigan and died May 06, 1919 in Chassell, Houghton County, Michigan. Georganne was the daughter of Charles Roy and Mary Lecompte.

Children of Charles and Georganne were:

RAYMOND CHARLES CADEAU/CADOT, Rueben, Ernestine, & Isabella.

i: RAYMOND CHARLES CADEAU/CADOT was born on November 3, 1892 in Hubble, Michigan and died on February 23, 1957 in Virginia Minnesota. Raymond married Elizabeth Mary Papin on October 21, 1913 in Rockland, Michigan. Elizabeth was born on December 13, 1894 in Humbolt Township, Michigan. Elizabeth was the daughter of Joseph Papin and Clara Beatty.

Children of Raymond and Elizabeth were:

ALBERT RAYMOND CADEAU, Clarence, Kenneth, Donna June, Anna Mae, & Elizabeth.

i: ALBERT RAYMOND CADEAU was born on July 5, 1914 in Rockland, Michigan and died on October 12, 1955 in Virginia, Minnesota. Albert married Violet Irja Larson on July 17, 1937 in Virginia, Minnestoa. Violet was born on February 5, 1919 in Virginia, Minnesota and died on March 16, 1979 in Wilton Manors, Broward County, Florida. Violet was the daughter of Hans Reno Larson/Uimonen and Henna Wiilina Ahola.

Children of Albert and Violet were:

Baby Girl, Catherine, Clarence, Raymond, Nancy, Robert, & David.


iii: William H. born August 9, 1873 in Negaunee Michigan, died October 16, 1954 in Dollar Bay Michigan. William married Exilda Cadeau November 28, 1896 in South Lake Linden, Schoolcraft Township, Houghton County, Michigan. Exilda was born on May 28, 1878 in Quebec Canada and died on June 11, 1971 in Marquette Michigan. Exilda is the daughter of Peter Cadeau and Emma Rena.

Children of William and Exilda were:

Laurence, Irene, Hubert, Raymond, Beatrice, Veronica, & Willard.


iv: George was born in 1875, he married Marion Tourville, April 07, 1911 in Houghton, Houghton County, Michigan. Marion was born in October 1892 and was the daughter of John Tourville and Emma Roussell.


v: Joseph, born August 15, 1876, died October 17, 1876.
