The Fall Leaf/Sumpter Family Home Page

I am searching for information concerning the surname of 'Fallleaf', 'Falleaf', 'Fall-leaf', 'Falleaf', or 'Fallingleaf'.The surname is of Delaware or Lenape Indian origin. I am also researching the Sumpter family which I am interested the the Jacob Dozel Sumpter and Nancy Gibson (Choctaw Indian)line of ancestors.

I started my research with Captain Fallleaf through the National Archives in Washington, D.C. and some research through Ft. Worth, Tx Archives.

If anyone has information regarding the above surnames, regardless of the spelling, please contact me. I am willing to share information.

My research for the Sumpter family is not complete but I am finding more information through email that I will continue to update. The Native American lineage is most important to me, starting with Jacob Dozel(White) and Nancy Gibson (Choctaw). There is also Chickasaw and Delaware. The research indicates that the family lived in Indiana, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma.
