| The 1850 census of Lawrence County Indiana listed my GGrandfather, Edward Cain, age 14 years, with the family of Gabriel H. Ragsdale, b l822. Edward's place of birth was listed as IN. Gabriel's place of birth was KY. Gabriel's wife was the former Elizabeth Cain, b 1826 in IN. Sarah Cain, b l841 in IN. was also listed with the family. The relationship of Edward, Sarah, and Elizabeth is not known, but one would assume they were brother and sisters. Edward , his wife, and descendants are buried in Heltonville, Lawrence Co., IN. and Arkansas. No information has been developed as to the name or origin of Edward's parents, as well as Gabriel H. Ragsdale. Anyone researching this line, or with any information may contact me. I will cooperate by furnishing any information known to me. |
