| Researching Kain, Kane, Cane, Cain. Peter Kain, GGGG GF(possibly Kane) is oldest known ancestor, and lived in Herkimer County, New York around 1800. His son Frederick F. Kane (Cain), GGG GF (1806-1882) moved to the Hillsdale, Michigan area in the 1850s. His son, Lorenzo F. Kane (Cain), GG GF (1827-1896) moved to Marathon County, Wisconsin, possibly in the 1870s. His son, Charles Daniel Cain, G GF (1851-1924) moved to the Janesville, Wisconsin area around 1924. His son Frederick Delta Cain, GF (1895-1924) lived in Janesville, Wisconsin as did my Father Delta Frederick Cain (1916-1964). This branch of the Cain family continues to live in the Janesville and Beloit, Wisconsin areas and in the Roscoe, Illinois areas. Also researching William Ryan (born about 1825 in Tipperary, Ireland to Sharon, Wisconsin to Nebraska), Daniel Quigley (born around 1800 in Sligo or Roscommon Ireland to Albany, New York to Edgerton, Wisconsin), Alfrieda or Alfreda Grimm (originally married to a Mr. Lehman or Leman in Germany), born September 12, 1864 from the Bleckede, Hamborg areas in Germany. Also Sebra Holcomb born around 1810 in New York State and Cornelia Donaldson (possibly Danielson) born around 1830 in New York State.
