The William Cain, Sr. Family Home Page

I am investigating the William CAIN Sr. family. I have been told that he may have come over from Ireland in the late 18th century. His son Abel was born in North Carolina around 1800. Abel married Ellen Charlotte Clark(e) in 1821 in Richmond Co. Georgia. They lived in Florida for a while where they gave birth to Isaac Thomas Cain.
Isaac T. Cain moved to Texas and met and married Susan Ritter (born about 1852 in Texas) where they had their first child, Adrian, around 1868. At that point, they moved to Louisiana and are found in the 1880 census (Vermillion Parish) with seven children. The children are named: Adrian, Jonlouis, Patric, Richard, Ellen, Robert, and Isaac Taylor. Ellen Charlotte Clark, then 80 years old, was living with Isaac and Susan during the time of the 1880 census.

Robert is my great grandfather. Robert and his wife, Ovenia, later gave birth to Abe, who, in turn, had a son named Ira, my father. (See the reports below for more information.)

If you have information that can help in my research, please contact me, Ricky L. Cain, at rlcain@sprynet.com. I am also very glad to share any information that I have.
