Buzzard Family
My earliest known Buzzard ancestor is John Buzzard, Sr., thought to have been born in Virginia around 1795. He is recorded to have been living in Meigs Twp., Adams Co., Ohio around 1818. It was in Adams Co., Ohio that he married Rachel L. Ruggles in 1818. Around 1821 John & family moved and settled in Shelby Co., Ohio with some other Ruggles family members. In 1834 the family moved again, this time to Tippecanoe Co., Indiana. A year later John & family moved to Huntington Co., Indiana. My line has lived in Huntington county ever since.

Cailey Family
My earliest known Cailey ancestor is George L. Cailey, Sr., he is thought to be from Scotland or Ireland. First settled in Delaware, where he met his wife Irene. Then moved to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia where they raised their children.
Three of their children(George Jr.,Frederick, and Catherine) moved to the area of New Market in Highland Co., Ohio around 1805.

Cox Family
The earliest known Cox ancestor is Jonathan William Cox (aka. William Jonathan). I know little about the early history of this family, they are probably from Virginia. They have ties to many of the families of Knott & Floyd counties in Kentucky.

Koser Family
My earliest known Koser ancestor is Leonard Koser, b.abt.1603. His family lived in the area around Asperglen, Germany, which is just east of Stuttgart. Hans Georg Koser arrived in America in 1749 an settled in Berks Co., Pennyslvania.

Burman Family
My earliest known Burman ancestor is Carl Burman, b.abt.1820. The family is from Mirow, Mecklenburg-Strelitz, Germany. I believe Carl died before 1860 in Germany because his wife(Fredericka) gets remarried around that time to Christian Winkelman. Family members started to immigrate to Indiana around 1880 an settled in Huntington and Grant counties. From their the next generation fanned out to surrounding counties an a few went west to North & South Dakota.

Most of my ancestors are of Swiss-German descent. They originally settled mainly in Pennsylvania, but a few settled in Virginia,Delaware, New Jersey, and Maryland. Then they moved west into Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
