4. FRANKLIN WADE⁴ LAPHAM (TRUMAN CRISSEY³, ALONZO², DUTY¹) was born December 27, 1863 in Shelbyville, IL, and died May 24, 1948 in St Paul, Minn. He married (1) HELEN WINKLER. He married (2) ANNE GOOZEE April 27, 1886 in Devils Lake, Ramsey County, Dakota Territory, daughter of WILLIAM GOOZEE and HARRIET DADDS.

Notes for ANNE GOOZEE:
She lived in North Dakota for 10 years after immigrating from England, then lived in St. Paul, Minnesota for the next 32 years. Moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma July 2, 1926 and remained there until her death. Joined Hamlin Chapter #228 O.E.S. April 17, 1923. Affiliated Tuloma Chapter #400 Tulsa, Okla. Dec 22, 1928.
(Note from Fred Camplin) She sent me a nice note and a pair of cuff links when I graduated from High School in 1954. Then I met her later that summer at a family reunion in Minneapolis. She was in a wheel chair, being about 86 years old.

She landed in New York April 3, 1884. Her sister Lavinia and brother William Ellinger also immigrated at this time.

She asked to have Christmas early the year of her death so that she could enjoy it with her children before she became too sick. Her daughter Berna stayed with Aunt Lila after Irma died while sons Roy and Arthur went to live with their dad.

She died of Sarcoma. Had her right leg amputated but poison had gone to her system. She was a very brilliant student, and said she was not afraid to die.
