1912 - February 8 - from the Boone County Recorder; James Russell Easton, infant son of Ambrose Easton and wife, who died of pneumonia last Saturday at their home near Devon was seven months and two weeks old. The remains were brought to Hopeful last Sunday afternoon and after a brief and very impressive service conducted by Rev. Tomlinson, were interred in Hopeful Cemetery.

1940 November 20 Ambrose Easton died 20 Nov 1940 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Covington after 10 days of tobar pneumonia. He had been knocked unconscious by a horse in stall in the farm barn. Injured and went into pneumonia. He was 66 years old.
11-26-1940 from the Boone County Recorder PROMINENT MAN SUCCUMBS AT 66 Following Brief Illness- Was Owner of Easterdale Farm Near Florence - Services Held Friday Ambros Easton, prominent Boone County farmer, passed away Wednesday of last week at St. Elizabeth Hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Easton owned and operated Easterdale farm on the Price Pike, Florence. He was one of the county's most prominent farmers, and was well known throughout Northern Kentucky. He was a member of the Hopeful Lutheran Church. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Linnie Easton; three sons, Thomas, Kenneth, and Arnold Easton; and four daughters, Mr. Naomi England, Mrs. Sallie Prather, Mrs. Lula Tanner and Mrs. Mildred Snow. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Hopeful Lutheran Church, with Rev. H.M. Hauter, officiating. Burial was in the Hopeful cemetery. Phillip Taliferro, Erlanger, funeral director was in charge of arrangements. ----In the local news "Price Pike" section This neighborhood was shocked to learn of the death of Ambros Easton, who passed away Wednesday. Several from here attended the funeral of Ambros Easton on Friday.
