Notes for Johann George Klaar: Notes for Johann Georg Klaar: The following information is from the Clore-Glore Genealogy manuscript by Delma Rae Carpenter, Sr. (1881-1967). Page 18: George Clore (son of Michael Clore) appears first on March 25, 1746, on which date (with Russell Hill and Francis Michael) he appraised the estate of Frederick Bumgardner. In May, 1747 he was appointed as overseer of the highway from the German ridge path. On November 15, 1750 Michael Glore (sic) and wife Barbara deeded to George Glore "for natural love" 300 acres lying on the north side of the Robinson River, part of a grant to George Moyer of September 28, 1728. Probably George Clore was already heavily afflicted and this deed was made to enable him to provide for his family, for only eight days later, November 23, 1750 he made his will, probated September 19, 1751. It was witnessed by Mical Holt, John Clore, and Michael Rossal. Testator names John Clore and Mical Rossal as his executors. Mention is made of loving wife Barbara Clore, sons Michael Clore and Peter Clore, and daughter Alesabat (Elizabeth) Clore, each of which children is to receive 100 acres of land. Michael Russel renounces his executorship and John Clore is appointed sole executor. The court appointed Peter Weaver as guardian of Michael Clore, heir and devisee of the testator. Evidently he was the oldest son and still a minor. Since the two children of George Clore who married did not marry until about 1768 and later it is safe to assume that they were quite young when their father died and that George was probably under 30. Inasmuch as Peter Weaver was appointed guardian of George Clore's son it is a safe inference that Barbara, wife of George, was the daughter of Peter Weaver. I also believe she soon after her first husband's death married (Andrew?) Carpenter, Peter Weaver in his will, dated March 27, 1763, probated August 18, 1763, mentions among others a daughter Barbary Carpenter. ******************************************************** Madison County, Virginia Deed Book 1, page 36 We Peter Clore and John Baker do hereby certify that we have Recev,d full satisfaction of John Weaver Senr. for all of George Clore decaes,d [sic] Estate and all of Michael Clore Senr.
