| Alexander Campbell and his wife, Sally Pate Campbell probably moved from around Gibson (Richmond County), NC to McKenzie, TN around 1831. Alexander's father was probably one of the men named Daniel Campbell on the 1820 Richmond County census. I believe that Alexander was born in North Carolina. I do not know when his family immigrated to America. Sally died by 1839, but how? What happened to Alexander Campbell? I know he was dead by 1845. Three of their children were raised by Richmond Love Pate in McKenzie, TN. Was Daniel Campbell really the father of Alexander Campbell, and if so, which of the many Daniel Campbell's? Of the four children of Alexander and Sally, Daniel and Margaret moved to Crittenden County, KY. Philip and Alexander (Sandy) stayed in McKenzie, TN. I descended from the Alexander (Sandy) line.
