Notes for HUGH FRASER:
Hugh Fraser married Rebecca Gordon and had a son William. There is an entry in the Fodderty Parish records for 1828 that states : " April 19 A son born to Hugh Fraser and Beak Gordon Marybro' named William." The 1881 Census record shows that William Fraser was born in Fodderty and the 1863 marriage certificate for William Fraser shows that his parents were Hugh Fraser and Rebecca (Beak?) Gordon. There is a discrepancy of three years between William's birth date and the date given on his marriage certificate, but this is quite common. Hugh was deceased at the time of his son William's marriage and is described as a "Military Pensioner" in that document.
