Notes for WILLIAM MACKINTOSH:
The statement on the Family Ancestry sheet given to me by my cousin, John Mackenzie, Dunballoch, in February, 2000, reads :
William Mackintosh who was born some time between 1540 and 1550 and held some office at the court of James V1 of Scotland and 1st of England.
It is supposed that their (ancestors - descendants?LC) land was confiscated because of their adherence to the Jacobites.
