"EACH ONE REACH ONE" Welcome to the BESDA MID - ATLANTIC REGION Website. The MID - ATLANTIC REGION encompasses family members living in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Southern NJ. Our Goal: Build upon our Family Heritage and Unity on a more local level and increase our ability to help one another Our Mission: Implement an effective strategy to achieve our goal and develop a vision for the future Our Vision: Create and Establish local family programs and activities. Forge relationships and partnerships within the family that will strengthen the bonds amoung all family members. As Many of you know, Ben Spaulding was Born in Dublin Co., NC in 1772 and died in Columbus Co., NC about 1862. He married Edith Delphia Jacobs and they had 9 children, which produced over 70 grandchildren. From this foundation (over 300 years later) we are here keeping the family united and our heritage alive. Because of the vast growth of our family it became necessary to plant regional chapters as a way of keeping family members closer and involved. Currently there are 8 regional chapters throughout the country. Our Mid - Atlantic Region is amoung the largest. The regional chapters are set up to emulate the structure of the National Association and were formed to: - Build relationships amoung cousins in the area - Encourage more involvement in family events - Establish outreach programs to our young and senior family members - Maintain current contact information - Organize yearly Regional picnics - Plan events to help fund our regional programs Once again WELCOME and THANK YOU for your support.
