Notes for Alonzo Theodore "Lonny" ADAMS: The Times Recorder (Zanesville newspaper) of April 5, 1962: Theodore (Alonzo) Adams, 86, of 508 Beckwith St., died at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday [April 4, 1962] at Good Samaritan Hospital where he had been a patient since Saturday. He had been ill for a year. He was born in Washington Co. July 31, 1875, a son of William and Mary (Mayle) Adams. He lived in Zanesville more than 40 years. Mr. Adams was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah's Witnesses and had been a teamster and farmer until he retired. Surviving are his widow, Laura, of the home; three sons, Roscoe of Route 5, Raymond of Chandlersville Rt. 1 and Paul at home; three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Dalton of 853 Cliffwood Ave., Mrs. Gertrude Sawyer and Mrs. Maxine Howard, both of Columbus; six grandchildren and two great-grand-children...Putnam Chapel of Bolin-Bryan Funeral Home...Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville.
