Obituary: Obsequies for Mr. Loren J. Stevens. Held at The McCurdy Funeral Home, Beverly, Washington, Ohio, Tuesday, October Twelfth, Nineteen Hundred Forty-eight, One-thirty O'clock P.M. Officiating Clergyman, Rev. A. M. Gilmer. Interment in Waterford, Washington, Ohio.

Mr. Loren J. Stevens, son of the late Jethro and Eliza Dalton Stevens, passed away at his home in Watertown Township, Saturday, October 9, 1948, at 11:40 p.m., after a decline in health. Mr. Stevens was born in Watertown Township, March 4, 1897, and was 51 years, 7 months and 5 days of age. He lived in Watertown Township all of his life with the exception of a few years when he worked in West Virginia and Zanesville, Ohio, also worked in Chicago, Ill., 1934 to 1938. Mr. Stevens was a god citizen and was well and favorably known in the community in which he lived.

Mr. Stevens was twice married. His first wife was Maude Mayle of Grafton, W. Va. She passed away many years ago. In the year of 1923 he was united in marriage to Helen Jenkins of Berrysburg, W. Va. Mr. Stevens was a member of the Barnett Ridge Methodist Church.

Those who deeply mourn their loss are: the widow, four sons and two daughters: Augustus and Loren Stevens of Columbus, Franklin, Ohio; Arthur and William Stevems of the home; Mrs. Alice Holbert of Kilvert, Ohio; Alma of the Home. There is one grandchild Della May Holbert; two brothers and two sisters, Theodore Stevens of East Fultonham, Ohio; Oscar Stevens of Waterford, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Bass of Dayton, Ohio; Mrs. Hilma Adams of Elyria, Ohio. One brother and one sister are deceased.

Pallbearers: Oscar Stevens, James Adams, Claude Jenkins, Theodore Stevens, Dwight Adams, Clarence Bass.
