Newspaper Obituary, November 5, 1976. Oliver GIBSON, 80, of Malta, Route 1, died at 3:25 a.m. Friday in Good Samaritan Medical Center of an apparent heart attack suffered two hours earlier at his home.
He was founder and owner of GIBSON Sanitation Service of the McConnelsville area and also founder and pastor of Malta Apostolic Mission.
He was born Oct. 4, 1896 near Chesterhill.
Surviving are his widow, Chloris MAYLE GIBSON; two daughters, Mrs. Leona LETT of 838 Shelby Street and Mrs. Evelyn GOINS of Malta Route 3; seven sons, Leroy of Zanesville, Donald of Canton, Oran of Malta Route 3, Robert and Harold, both of Malta Route 1, Herman of 605 MATTHEWS Street and Dennis of Malta Route 1; two brothers, Ed of Malta Route 1 and Aacen of Gaysport; 33 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at MILLER-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Malta Cemetery.
