125. WILLIAM D.⁷ ALLEN (SUMNER DELOS.⁶, SUMNER DANA⁵, PHINEHAS⁴, PHINEHAS³, TIMOTHY², SAMUEL¹) was born June 1856 in Jamestown, Chatauqua, NY, and died March 31, 1937 in Yukon, Canadian, OK. He married MARTHA A. OARD 1879 in Lyons, Cloud, KS, daughter of (--?--) OARD and ELIZABETH (--?--).

Notes for WILLIAM D. ALLEN:
Will supposedly came to Lyons, KS with his father at the time they left his brother, Fred, with the Whittemores in NY. Sumner and Phebe Allen farmed and possibly homesteaded in Cloud Co., KS. Will and Martha probably lived on that farm with Phebe and Sumner before applying for a homestead in Canadian Co., Oklahoma. William and Martha lived for 43 years in Yukon, Canadian, OK. Will and Matty left Kansas in 1891.

FRED PIE⁷ ALLEN (SUMNER DELOS.⁶, SUMNER DANA⁵, PHINEHAS⁴, PHINEHAS³, TIMOTHY², SAMUEL¹) was born November 10, 1866 in Brocton, Chautauqua, NY, and died November 27, 1939 in Concordia, Cloud, Kansas. He married CORA ALICE BLACKLEDGE June 16, 1886 in Rice, Cloud, Kansas, daughter of ROBERT BLACKLEDGE and MARY COOK.

Notes for FRED PIE ALLEN:
Fred and Cora are buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS.
Fred Allen's mother died shortly after his birth and Fred was adopted by the Henry Whittemore family of Fluvanna, NY. A newspaper clipping from 1936 states that Fred was born in Brocton, NY. and came to Kansas alone at the age of 16 (circa 1882). According to Sarah Wittemore's obituary, Fred lived in Delphos, KS in 1890. Fred and Cora Allen farmed and then moved to Concordia, KS about 1893. Fred was in the "transfer" business for 44 years in Concordia. Cora came to Cloud county with her parents at the age of 12 (1882). The Blackledge family lived in Rice, KS. They lived on a farm in Meridith Township and moved to Concordia in 1890.
