A CAPRONI FAMILY IN AMERICA

In 1994 I completed my research on this CAPRONI FAMILY and published same.
This CAPRONI FAMILY comes from CASTELVECCHIO PASCOLI (BARGA), in the province of LUCCA.

JOSEPH CAPRONI, was the first of this family to come to the United States, around 1870. His fathers name was Bartolomeo
nickname,Zi'Meo, A very good friend and neighbor of Giovanni Pascoli, the renown Italian Poet. The CAPRONI'S written here owned most of the land that is now known as CASTELVECCHIO PASCOLI and the mountain where HOTEL CIOCCO now sets.

This CAPRONI FAMILY eventually settled in the Maysville, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio area.

The 1840 Church Records of Barga Italy have over 100 CAPRONI's living in the area at time. All, I am pretty sure are related in one way or the other. The problem being the Churches in the area said the records were to old to be handled or refused my questionings or kept me in a direct decendent line.

I would like to communicate with anybody that may have any information on this FAMILY, before 1870.

Any information would be appreciated. Iam also willing to share the information that I have.
