Hubbard Daniel Burrows, Jr. (son of Hubbard Burrows and Mercy Denison) was born Jun 26, 1739 in Groton, New London, Connecticut, and died Sep 06, 1781 in Fort Griswold, Groton, Connecticut. He married (1) Priscilla Baldwin on Dec 24, 1761 in North Stonington, New London, Connecticut. Notes for Hubbard Daniel Burrows, Jr.: Was a farmer and a Captain in the Revolutionary Army. He commanded a company of CT militia in the New York Campaign of 1776. He was killed by British troops under the command of Benedict Arnold at Fort Griswold, CT in 1781. At the Fort, after Colonel Ledyard surrendered to the British commander, Montgomery, Montgomery ordered his troops to kill all of the colonial defenders.
