Home Page of A. CarpenterUpdated January 12, 2008 | |
| This site is dedicated to Benjamin Carpenter and his two sons, Hensley Sr.and Richard E., who migrated to Giles Co., TN around 1810. It is thought that Benjamin was born in England ca. 1730/1750. He is known to have been buried in Amherst Co., Va. in 1832. He is reported to have arrived in America directly from England while still in his teens and lived in Queen and King County, Va. before moving to Amherst county. Descendents Y-DNA tests prove genetic links to the Tennessee and Kentucky lines, not the New York lines as speculated by earlier works. I would appreciate any information concerning his origins and his Revolutionary War record. |
