I have traced my CARR ancestry back to my 3rd Great Grandfather, Isaac CARR, who married Harriet PINKERTON in Cattaraugus County or Allegany County, New York, about 1834. They settled in Scioto County, Ohio, where Harriet CARR died in 1850. Isaac CARR died in a steamboat accident about 1851, according to his son, Isaac Newton CARR. Isaac Newton CARR and his siblings moved to Washington County, Iowa in 1852 with the BRADFORD family. Isaac Newton CARR married, first, Elizabeth TAYLOR on October 8, 1858, in Washington Co., Iowa. Their son, Harvey Taylor CARR, moved to Minburn, Iowa, later settling in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Harvey Taylor CARR married Sarah Katherine MYERS on October 2, 1889, in Dallas Co., Iowa. Their son, Jesse Madden CARR, married Daisy Madora LEDUC on February 2, 1915, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They moved to Chicago, Illinois, about 1923. Their son, Donald CARR married Frances PLOGER on March 2, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois.

The PLO(E)GER family name has been traced back to Bernard PLO(E)GER, born about 1750 in Germany. The immigrant PLO(E)GER ancestor was Clemens August PLO(E)GER, born in Niedermarsberg, Westphalia, Germany, who arrived at New York City, on the ship "Zeeland" on June 28, 1881. He settled in Chicago, Illinois, and married Frances KURZEN in 1884. Their son, John A. PLOGER, married Margaret A. RUTHERFORD, on August 16, 1917, in Chicago, Illinois. Their daughter, Frances PLOGER, married Donald CARR, on March 2, 1946.
