I am researching the CARLILE family from South Carolina.Alexander Carlile appears on 1790 Prince Frederick Parish, Georgetown District S.C. census.In 1812 Alexander and David Nathaniel Carlile received land grants for property in ST.JohnsParish-Berkeley, Charleston Co. S.C. just north of Moncks Corner and bordering Moncks Corner Rd., Donnallys Rd., Santee Canal and Biggens Swamp.In 1818 Alexander is dead and his
wife Mary becomes adminstrator of the estate. On the 1820 Char.Co census, Mary is listed as H.O.H. with eight other people. David (Nathaniel)Carlile appears in the 1830 Charleston S.C. census along with Alexr.(new) Carlile and Jehu Carlile.The new Alexander is dead before 1834 and wife Hannah admin. estate.David N.Carlile appears in the 1850 Jones Co.Ms.censusand1870Vol.Co.FL.censuswith wife Eliza & children Alexander Marion,Martha,Jane,Mary,Lawrence John,Joel,James Andrew,Almeda and Robert W.Carlile.Jehu Carlile,
wife Sarah,Mary-13 yrs.and Hannah Carlile are living close to
David in 1850(Jasper or Perry Co.)but are gone by the 1860 census.Would like connect to otherswho are researching these
Carlile/Carlisles.
