He married (2) Martha Ide March 24, 1711/12 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA. She was born March 18, 1679/80 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA, and died June 17, 1727.

His farm lies one half mile east of Daniel Perrin in Attleboro and was owned in
1898 by Valorus Wescott and contains upwards of 60 acres. He was a Lieutenant
in a Militia company.

He removed to Randolph, VT about 1790: from there he went to Barre, VT in 1799.
Eliphalet Carpenter, private in Captain Hill's Company in Col. William's
Regiment, enlisted 29 Sept 1777, served one month at Tiverton. Roll sworn to
at Rehoboth, MA Enlisted again in Captain Samuel Brown's Company, Col.
Carpenter's (# 775) Regiment, RI. Alarm, 11 Aug 1780. Served 8 days. Marched
from Rehoboth to Tiverton. It was probably this Eliphalet who enlisted in the
formation of 1777 to 1781: he was discharged 17 Dec 1780.

The Carpenter Memorial does not list him as a child, indicating a
possible stillborn.

She married Jonathan Chaffee November 23, 1703 in ,Rehoboth, Bristol, MA. He was born April 07, 1678 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA, and died December 31, 1766 in Rehoboth, Bristol, MA.

!Ref. U.S. film #001-129 edited by Daniel Perrin " Daniel Perrin, The Huguenot
and his Descendants). This book may prove to tie the families together. As
Louise Perrin, married Samuel Proctor, she was his first wife, and she
is supposed to have died in childbirth. Samuel Proctor remarried after her
death and became the father of Harvey Proctor, the father of Stanley who was
the father of John Proctor.
