Martha Bailey (daughter of W. W. Bailey and Lucinda Presnall) was born 22 Mar 1887, and died 15 Dec 1970 in Randolph Co., AL. She married Seth Pilcher Bowen on Abt. 1906, son of Jordan "Jerd" Morgan Bowen and Julie Meacham.

Mrs. Martha Bowen, age 88, of Rt. 2, Woodland, passed away at her home Tusday, Dec. 15, at 5 p.m. Mrs. Bowen is survived by one son, Curtis Bowen of LaGrange; two daughters, Mrs. Lillie Huddleston and Mrs. Daisy Robinson of Woodland Rt. 2; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Arrirngton of Carrolton, Ga., and Mrs. Mary Hester of LaGrange.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bowen were conducted Thursday afternoon from the Little Mt. Carmel Church by the Rev. Winford Harris, with burial in the church cemetery.
