Miss Mabel P. Baker, Age 82, Passed Awaya [sic]Janary 23 Miss Mabel P. Baker, age 82, of 510 Handley Avenue, Roanoke, passed away in the Randolph County Hospital in Roanoke onTuesday, January 23, at 2:30 p.m. Miss Baker is survied by one brother, Fed [Fred?] Baker of Roanoke; one sister, Mrs. Lum Mitchum of Phenix City, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Miss Baker were conducted today, Thurday, January 25, at 3 p.m. from Quattlebaum's Funeral Chapel. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery with Quattlebaum's Brown Service Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
