Joan Carlin is beginning a Family Tree Project from her home in Beaumont, Texas. The surnames in my tree are GIBSON, RICHARDSON, MALLORY, and possibly the name DAYTON who lived in North Louisiana near Ruston from the mid-1800's and Vivian, LA beginning around the 1920's. The ancestors came from either England or Ireland. Other surnames from the other side of my tree are CARLIN, WYNINGER, VAUGHN with the last two being from an area around Paris, Tennessee in the mid 1800's and early 1900's prior to settling in Bossier City, Louisiana. I do not have many relatives I can gather past history from, so if you know of the names Wyninger or Vaughn in Louisiana or Tennessee, contact me.I believe the Wyninger name goes back to Germany. My husband's family names are CARLIN, LEBRUN, FARQUE, ULAN and are all of French descent either from France or early settlers of Acadian French background. My daughters have married names of MERCER from North Carolina and JORGENSON from Virginia and Michigan.
