He married (1) MARTHA JACKSON August 30, 1667 in Ipswich, Essex, Mass or Warwick ,R.I., daughter of ROBERT JACKSON and AGNES WASHBURNE. She was born Abt. 1648 in LI, and died December 17, 1668 in QUEENS, LI. He married (2) DEBORAH WRIGHT Abt. 1669 in LI, daughter of NICHOLAS WRIGHT and ANN BEAUPRE. She was born Abt. 1651 in LI.

He married MERCY WRIGHT January 01, 1669/70 in LI, NY, daughter of NICHOLAS WRIGHT and ANN BEAUPRE. She was born June 04, 1641 in Unknown, and died October 21, 1708 in Musketo Cove , LI, NY.

I have-- a Robert Cole b. 1630 Musqueto Cove - m. Mercy Wright 1 Jan
1670, d.16 Apr 1715 Oyster Bay. She was b.4 Jun 1641? and d.21 Oct 1708, d/o
Nicholas Wright and Ann Beaupre. (Genealogical Dictionary of RI by
JohnOsborne Austin, 1978 - Settlers who arrived after 1690) Also Journal of
Robt Coles.
Robt. was s/o Robt Coles and Mary Hawkshurst - he b. 1597/8 Sudbury, Suffolk
Co.,ENG, also found him to be b.in Groton, Norfolkshire, ENG - m. 1630/1,
and he d. prev to 18 Oct 1654. Mary b.1602poss. d/o Samson Hauxhurst was
sis/of Christopher Hauxhurst, moved to Oyster Bay after her 2nd marriage to
Matthias H(e)arvey . She d. 1656.
e settled in Providence, RI 1636. They had John; Deliverance; Ann; Daniel;
Nathaniel; Sarah; Elizabeth and Robert,Jr. who m. Mercy Wright. He might
have been Welsh.

The Coles Family of VA and Its Numerous Connections (by Wm.B.Coles, NY) - on
pg.3/4 - said Robert Sr. was poss.b. in or near Bergholt, Co.Suffolk, ENG,
came to MA Bay with John Winthrop 1630, admitted as freeman 18 May
1631, ----etc.etc.

The Dosoris area (where the Dosoris family settled) is in
the Glen Cove area, particularly the area to the extreme
north (Dosoris Island, East Island, Dosoris Pond, etc.).
The Coles family was very prevalent in the area and there
are many cemeteries (ancient) in that area and in Sea Cliff.
