Phineas Rice, and received his first certificate in 1855 - For forty-two years he was an accredited lay preacher of the Methodist Episcopal Church. For some time he had been a sufferer, and his decline became noticeable. She who had been his devoted wife since December 16, 1848, ministered unto him. There were no children to call.
